ANNUAL NEWS LETTER
Thank you for your support throughout this past year. During 2009. In answer to your requests we are now able to automatically debit your checking account each month for your water bill. Please contact our office if you are interested in this service.
Remember you can pay your bills on line at www.bentoncitywater.com. This is a service we offer to our members, we pay all fees associated with this service.

NEW SERICE
Thank you for selecting BCWSC for all your water needs. Below is a list of pricing for new service. Please contact the office for a quote.
Standard Service $1,900.00
Non-Standard Service (Bore) $2,900.00
Re-Service $ 700.00
All prices above include a $200.00 deposit.
BILLING PAYMENTS:
Meters are now being read beginning the 10th of each month and the bills mailed at the end of the month. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A BILL BY THE 4TH OF THE MONTH, PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE FOR YOUR BALANCE. Your bill is due for payment on the 1st of the month. You have until the 15th to pay without a $15.00 late fee. Payments may be made by mail, use of the drop box by the front office door, on-line, or in person at the drive-through window or in the office during the hours – 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.WATER RATES:
The water rates as of August 1, 2003 are still in effect.
1 – 7,000 Gallons $0.35 per 100 gallons
7,001 & Up $0.45 per 100 GallonsLATE FEE:
If the 15th of the month occurs on a Saturday, Sunday or Holiday, your payment will not be considered late if: (1) the payment is made in person by the end of business on the 15th, or (2) if the payment is dropped in the drop box before 8:00 A.M. on the 16th. All other payments will be considered late and will be subject to a $15.00 late fee.PAST DUE FEE:
If payment is not received by the last BUSINESS day of the month, a past due fee of $30.00 will be assesed to the account.

If payment is not made, the meter will be locked (disconnected) for non-payment. Balance must be paid in full including past due and $30.00 past due fee.

There is a $30.00 returned check fee. This includes any person making a payment on your account by check. Any returned check results in the account not being paid on the due date. If a check has been returned for non-sufficient funds, it will be necessary to pay by cash or a money order for a period of one year.
For your convenience, credit and debit card payments may be made by phone at no additional charge.OTHER FEES:
TRANSFER MEMBERSHIP FEE:
If you sell your property, a transfer form will need to be filled out by you and a new application filled out by the new owner of the property. There is a $100.00 transfer fee when the property is transferred. The current owner will be responsible for water payments until the proper paperwork has been completed by the new owner.SERVICE PREVENTING EMPLOYEES FROM DOING THEIR JOBS:
CROSS CONNECTIONS:
Please be advised by direction of the Board of Directors at the November 28, 2000 meeting should any Member interfere with or prevent an employee from doing their job, the appropriate County Sheriff’s Office will be notified and the Benton City Water Supply Corporation employee will be escorted to the Member’s location by a Sheriff’s employee and that employee will remain present until the job has been completed.
Please be careful not to allow any possible cross connections that could contaminate the water within your home or your neighbors’ homes. Cross connections may occur at livestock water troughs, swimming pools, or any other location where water could be siphoned back into the system.
Any person cutting corporation locks or tampering with the meter will be charged a $250.00 fee. (Other fees may be incurred per situation). This is considered THEFT OF SERVICE and is subject to legal action.
Landlords BEWARE!
The owner of the Membership is responsible for all charges incurred on the account. The Renter will be required to fill out an Application and Service Agreement. If the tenant changes, please notify the office so the proper paperwork can be filled out by the new renter.
WATER THEFT:
Please report any suspicious activity at fire hydrants and flush valves where unauthorized persons may be filling tanker trucks. Benton City WSC reports alleged theft to water to appropriate legal authorities for prosecution.Office Hours:
